Faced with the task of quickly proving out a re-designed gear box assembly that is used as a tracking mechanism in a single axis solar panel system our project management team, expert craftsmen, and toolmakers produced 2 of the assemblies from scratch in 2 weeks. With close to 20 custom made components and lots of commercial hardware there was a great deal of creativity and problem solving needed to be able to provide a mockup that would ensure our customers engineering group that everything would fit and function the way they had hoped.
